What is book-itis?
Recently, one of my 6th grade students told me that I had given her my 'itis.' When I asked her what she meant, she informed me that she had a book sickness and couldn't stop reading~and that it was all my fault! I must say that it was one illness I was proud to responsible for.
The definition of the suffix 'itis' is "an inflammation of an organ" (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/-itis). My students and I have definitely developed a 'healthy sickness' for books. This blog is meant to share our experiences with books, as well as introduce you to our favorite characters.
Help us feed our sickness by contributing YOUR stories about favorite authors, series, and characters.
