From the moment that Hercufleas is born into his fleamily, all he wants to do is go on grand adventures. When he finds out that his family works for Happily Ever After, a store that sells heroes to those in need, Hercufleas is hopeful he will get his wish. But when Greta comes into the store looking for a hero to get rid of the evil giant who killed her parents and is destroying her village, Hercufleas is disappointed to discover that his family is responsible for typing the contracts—not exactly the work of a hero! Without telling his fleamily, Hercufleas decides to go with Greta to meet the heroes she has hired, and when things don’t go as planned, Greta is left with a raisin-sized flea who hopes to become the hero both she and her village need. Along the way, they learn about the power of hope and teamwork, as well as how the small things are sometimes the most important. Hercufleas is a must read for fans of fantasy and books such as Kate DiCamillo’s Tale of Despereaux. |
